Lokmangalam Charitable Trust - Dharampur ,Valsad

Dharampur area of Valsad district, which is adjacent to the border of Gujarat – Maharashtra state, where is located, the young man who created the development works of the tribal community of this end is Nilambhai Dhirubhai Patel, he is a native of Gundlav village of Valsad district,

Having a passion to do something from scratch, he joined the Gram Shilpi program run by Gujarat Vidyapeeth after his master’s degree while studying for an MA economics degree at Gujarat Vidyapeeth, after getting interested in Gandhian thought.

The program provided training and guidance on how to work in the village for two years. After going to this training, it was felt that this social service work is not for two years, it has to be given whole life.

The work started by Nilambhai in this village with education, many other projects are going on today, in which financial support was needed to carry out works including health, agriculture, environment, home industry, nursery, agriculture and solving people’s problems. But the financial help will come only when there is an organization which Nilambhai did not have, so he felt that financial help will be available only if the organization is formed. Hence Lokmangalam Charitable Trust Khoba came into existence in 2008-2009, today for 16 years implementing the idea of creating bright careers for children along with implementation of health, education, government schemes, Many service activities including Common Service Center (CSC), environment, home industry, agriculture along with employment in the local area The service work started from village Khoba has spread to two taluks of Valsad district today. Nilambhai got warmth and inspiration from Sarvodaya Parivar Trust in the initial stage. Today various works are going on through Lokmangalam Charitable Trust in 108 villages of Dharampur taluk and 42 villages of Kaprada taluk.
